Hey all,

I measured up my 1uz with stock intakes today it measured in at 680mm

Now I found a website which has a rough dimensions piccie of a LS1 can anybody perhaps confirm that the hight in that piccie is right? it says 717mm but also somthing about truck style block whats the difference? sump maybe?

thing is that: if the LS1 fits with that height into the chassis a 1uzfe will also, and that would indeed be very nice.

Traditionally with Chevys, some of the truck spec. motors have a taller deck height, taller pistons/longer rods.

That's what I thought to after looking at the picture on the paceperfomance site, and having a quite clear picture in my mind of the height of an LS1 manifold,

seems the ls1 has shorter runners, must be a troque vs rpm thingy, for towing.

EDIT: and here it is, http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cach...2+LS6+LS7+dimensions&hl=nl&ct=clnk&cd=8&gl=nl

the LS1 is 63.5cm tall and a 1uzfe with stock intake is 68cm, so now I'm in big trouble!

seems a drysump and Lug style clutch are in order to gain the extra clearance for an M90 to sit on top of the engine, though that cost would be better spend in a Rotrex over a used eaton and drysump I think.

No guys No LS1 in there,

in fact nothing in the chassis yet, it's just a spaceframchassis which normaly gets fitted with an LS1 and porshc G50 box.

But for the price of 1 LS1 I think I can build about 4 500hp supercharged 1uz's over here in holland. so that's why all this height related thinking must be done, I do want the bonnet to close without having to chop it up.

do you agree on the info on the website I posted? ie the 25" heigt line? or is there also a difference in that engine?
