Long trip W/ TRAC OFF, DAMAGE LS400 ?

'91 LS400 has broken -trac off- switch, so "trac off" stays lit on dash. I'm planning to drive 200-300 miles in a week or so, and wondering if I'm going to DO ANY PERMANENT DAMAGE by driving it with the switch broken and the positraction off for the whole ride?

I think the manual doesn't recommend it, but does anyone really know the risk involved?

I'm pretty sure the manual would only not recommend it because it can be dangerous to drive the car with TRC off it you are very used to it.

I can't see it damaging anything.

Your TRAC off lite is probably not the switch. When there is a code in the TRAC system, the TRAC off light stays ON. In the DLC2, short E1 and TE1 with the key on. Count the # of blinks that the TRAC off light makes. Use this diagnostic information to repair the problem. I have not tried disconnecting the switch to see the result. If your switch is obviously damaged, replace it! No damage will occur by driving with the light on.
