I Have A 1992 Lexus LS400 With 102,500 Miles, And Sometimes Under Full Acceleration, It Randomly Decides To Shift At 5800 RPM Under Kickdown. Typically it shifts at around 6000, however, I see some shift at 5800. This Is On Flat Land Mind You. Anybody Know Why? Is there a cable I am able to adjust to change said points?
The cable adjusts transmission line pressure, not kickdown.
You should have a kickdown switch that is activated by the throttle pedal
Check the kickdown switch is working properly
Check your throttle position sensor signal at 100%
