Hi guys,

only one question.

What sump should i use in my e30 bmw?

Ive had alot of help from you guys and its been awesome.

Ive been told rear sump,(NEAR IMPOSSOBLE TO FIND IN NZ NOW)

There are alot of front and middle sump motors

but the bmw engine has its sump right at the front.

Ive looked under alot of e30 anD they all have the sway bars, supention arms etc at the back? it does not seem like enuf room for any sump to come thru?

If you can help or no of anyone who can help it would be very much appreciated

Regards

Riley

I have a front sump I can take some measurements off if you want.

Also if you need a front sump set up I would gladly swap it for a rear set up if you find it.

Skid, I think the posters name is Drifty or something.....

It was a big jump for the poster to make an assumption based on someones log in name and a question about a car that isn't even in the first post???????

I'm still confused! ;)

That's ok Skid...I am confused daily on this forum.....Infact, I am confused right now...:07:

Drifty good luck with your fix.....

Drifty,

Just get underneath with a tape measure. It will save a load of work.

Measure from the point where the bellhousing and block meet (back of block-front of bell) and then forward to the rear of the cross member. Also measure from the block/bell point to the front of the crossmember and steering rack (if applicable ie will get in the way).

Come back here with the measurements and we can figure it out from there.

You will have your answer without even turning a spanner.
