I have a leaking pipe, situated directly behind the top of the intake plenum.
It is a hard steel pipe, with a flange and two bolts.
The pipe has separated from the flange, and you can hear what sounds like an exhaust leak when you accelarate.

I think it goes around to the passenger side air injectors...?
I can't quite make out where it goes, or how to repair.

Does anyone have experience with this, or have a parts schematic?

I hesitate to tear into it, because I have heard that you need to remove the engine to replace this pipe...?

Oiy! :???:

Sounds like the EGR pipe. Runs from the exhaust manifold up to the back of the intake manifold. Two bolt flange.

elh supra is right.. it is the egr pipe.. it is a pain to remove it.. but you can kinda correct the situation.. you will need to remove the flange from the rear of the intake--and block it off with another closed/flat plate..
the rest of the pipe is bolted to the exhaust on the pass side, like you mentioned.. you will need to do the same--remove, and block it off..
i think i remember having a hard time removing the pipe-so i just left it there-kinda dangleing..
after the intake and exhaust is blocked off, i believe the egr will be inoperative...
i believe these plates are available somewhere online, maybe even around here..
