Is there a place where it explains how to fix the fuel gauge?

just as the tittle says...

my fuel guague will not work properly.. it will always read empty below 1/2 tank and if full only 3/4 or less...

Any updates ideas?

man, before spending money, u mite as well try a reset. disconnect battery negative firs for 30 minutes, i like an hour just to make sure, and then recconect negative first....this may help, it fixed mu=ine when i fixed my cluster...
