Ignition key lock malfunction

My (93' SC400) ignition key got locked up (could not turn to 'lock' position or pull it out), I could unlock/remove it by removing fuse marked as 'CIG' (cigarette lighter). It saved me for short term but, problem is that this fuse is also feeding climate control that is vital for me to defog windows.

Anyone had this problem before? What is best way to disconnect ignition key lockup mechanism all together?

Try pushing the gear lever further forward in Park as you try and remove the key, or see if you can remove it in Neutral.

That was the first thing I've tried, seems like parking position switch or the wire is broken.
