We hit minus 22 celcius this morning and yesterday. And the heating system in my LS doesn't seem to keep up with the job. I checked the coolant valve under the hood and it opens correctly, but it's like there's not enought coolant going in the heater core. I only get warm-hot air when engine is fully hot and i always need to keep the blower to maximum, even after 1/2 an hour. The heating system in my cressida was a lot more effective, i couldn't keep my hand in front of a trap because of the heat.
What can I do to get more heat from the system? bypass the valve and make a direct plug ? (but i'll loose the temp control) is there a kind of mini coolant pump that i can install on the engine hose to pump more coolant?
