how to take the pcv valve off

i been trying to take the pcv valve off to change it and i cant get it off . so i just wanted to know is there right way to do it thanks guys.

I just used a pair of pliers levered on a block of wood to lift it out

ok thanks guys i going to try it again . i just didnt want to break anything esle taking it out . now its time to put some muscle to it

Yeah you really have to pull at that thing. It's strong though, you won't break it. The rubber gets old and turns to stone. Maybe popping it out when the engine is hot would be a good idea.

It will take some muscles but once the pcv is out, make sure the rubber doesn't drop into the head cover. I did that once and it was alot of work to get it out.
