Hi, I put a new stereo and and Amp and Subs in the car but I am getting a high pitch noise from speakers. When you accelerate the noise gets louder. Any ideas ?
Check for any ground loop that might have got mixed up with the amp power supply. Certain speakers also have inbuilt active crossovers which are wire wound inductors. And inductors and notorious for picking up stray emf's.
Also try and filter the amp power supply. For that you can use a simple LC ( inductor -capacitor) combination. Here are the specs
inductance -1.90 mH
capacitor - Anything above 2200 Mf and 500V
You can easily get these parts at radioshack, A 4 amp inductor costs $3.99 and the cap would cost you about $4 or so.

Here is how it should look like. Inexpensive and yet effective. I think you should try this first before buying any noise suppressors.
