Grinding sound

Ok guys I have a problem. I have a 96 sc 400 and I drove it to Atlanta this weekend and now when I step on it in first gear I get a horrible grinding and vibrating sound coming from the floor board right next to my throttle and you can hear it the car like some of the frame is dragging on the ground. got any ideas before I take it to the dealer??

Does the oil smell like it was burned?

Yes. When its i a white bucket it looks like motoroil! everytime I step on it in first gear it sounds bad but it doesn't do it in any other gears I have no idea. really maybe its the tc? lex I would appreciate your input

Tranny fluid should still look red and maybe a little darker when it's old. But if you smell the fluid burned, then the tranny might be a problem. However, try to check the passenger suspension if that's where the noise comes from. Perhaps, it's just the suspension. Does the tranny still shift smoothly? Is the RPM supposed to be regular with the speed like before?
