I'm still trying to figure out what kind of dual exhaust i want for my soon to be 1UZ MKIII Supra project which i will start within the next couple of months. I plan to use my stock cats with the SC400 exhaust modified to fit the supra.
Lately I have been on Youtube watching random exhaust clips comparing how LS and SC400's sound with both Flowmaster and Magnaflow mufflers. Still haven't really found the sound I'm looking for.
I found this SC400 with Magnaflows and an X-pipe...

And an LS400 with straight pipes and Flowmasters

Now I like how nice and deep the Magnaflow sounds but I'm looking for something louder and more aggressive. The other day I was messing around with a crashed 93 SC400 for sale at a wrecking that had a custom exhaust with the stock cats, center and rear resonators removed, with Magnaflows. It sounded similar to the one in the video but was a tiny bit raspy.
And this LS400 sounds really mean and more like a muscle car at idle which is more along the lines of what I'm looking for minus the raspy sound when it revs (prolly just needs some resonators to regulate that sound) so i seem to drawn more to the sound of Flowmasters.
What do you guys think???
