I've tried the local Toyota dealer and e-mailed the UK head office for customer help and niether could do anything without a vin number or reg.. The engine number is '1UZ 0313503'

Alan Whitaker Member Aug 14, 2012 #2 Hi Is this for a change to your V5, if so I only had to send them a receipt from the people I purchased the engine from, they just put the price for a 1994 lexus V8, no probs from the DVLA Alan

Bushwhacker Member Aug 14, 2012 #3 If the engine is still in original condition i.e. untouched, the spark plug wires will have the year date printed on them.

Well, having looked at a few casted parts and the leads, the 1992 date stamp seems to be consistent so I guess that's the year.
