egr removing?can i do this??

hi..have looked at all threads i can find, but am not sure on a couple of things..

95 ls400 engine.uk spec..ie 2nd gen 10.5cr.sequentual injection type..handmade headers as originals dont fit conversion..

egr pipe went from header to back of block.then from there up again to upper back of block..have blocked off all holes with plates...

egr valve and all other kit still in place and plugged in...do i need to remove them as well? or (hopefully,as i dont mind them being there for now (so,so much to do) can i just leave them there and all will be well??

just blocked the bottom tube.ie the one that went to the header..

i need to get this correct before i put the engine in for the last time this weekend...its ok to just block this pipe off? the one shown can stay??
