Didnt someone make an external R154 shifter?

I am trying to find a thread in which someone made and fabbed there own external shifter, can't seem to find it, anyone know what im talkin about?

Me personally, I'm not totally sold on that setup.

I'm not sure how durable it would be, or how much it would stress the shift rod.

Rather than cut and weld the gear retainer you can buy a new one to suit the Soarer location.

that piece isn't as long as the part manufactured in the linked thread
that piece is designed to be used with the top plate from the early soarer transmission, which uses a swan necked gearshift, while the linked thread shows a nearly straight gear shift

i wish it were easier

When i did a series of short shifter group buy/exchange on another forum i had the chance to look at w58 through to jza70 and jzz30 shifters, its a subtle difference, most people just bend them to suit.

i am confussed on what they are doing.

its a W58 that is bolting to a 1JZ-GTE into a supra MK3? so it has to be lengthened 4 inches or so?
