I stopped by my friend's engine core junk yard. He has about 12 2uzfe engine shortblock and two partial longblock. Out of the 12 shorblocks, 10 had broken rods. Hmm....... I think the 2uzfe rods break more easily then 1uzfe VVTi or 3UZFE perhaps due to more torque produce at lower rpm.
