Cant find water temperature sender

I have a 91 ls400 and my temperature gauge doesnt work. I bought a new temperature sender because somebody told me that was probably the problem. But now that i got the part i cant find where it goes so i can replace it. Can anyone tell me where its located at??

Its a one wire plug located right infront of the cross fuel rail. Its very close to the engine front engine hook.

I found and replaced it already but my temp. gauge still isnt working. it doesnt go up at all, it just stays all the way at the bottom. Any ideas on what it might be?

Check to see if the wire is continuous to the gauge.
