Hi,
I have just got a replacement 1UZ from a wrecker and have done a prelim compression test on it.
Results vary from 230psi up to over 300psi (with a squirt of oil down the spark plug holes) on 7 cylinders, and 150psi on a lone bad cylinder. The 150 did creep up a little the more comp tests I did, and now is sitting on 200 or there abouts. My battery is flat so I can't keep testing it.
One other thing, I popped the oil filter off and a thick milky sludge drained out, but figure this is because someone pinched the dipstick and tube earlier on in it's life.
What's the likelyhood of BHG?
The engine has spent at least part of it's life out in the weather as there is a light coating of white powder on various parts of the engine, and rust on a few iron parts of the engine.
Thoughts....?
Cheers
