Im wanting to fit a 1uz-fe into a 1959 Ford Thames camper van. It uses a seperate chassis with a live axle and i would like to keep it live as it saves a lot of ball-ache and trouble. Seeing as im in the UK my best option is to use a Ford Atlas rear axle as its strong and the exact same size as the original.
As its a camper van i would just keep the engine stock and use the stock autobox but i heard somewhere that i would need to use a Toyota Crown box as that has the right yoke to allow for the prop to move in and out. Trouble is, this is the UK where Toyota crown boxes arent really too common. Is there any other solution?
