The problem I see with sleeving the block is you're still stuck with the restrictive heads,

Adding a litre or more in capacity just makes the restive heads worse.
 
Heads & flow is not an issue .. I can boost heaps..
My concern is the strength of the std sleeves plus .020 ..
 
One off 4340 cr/mo sleeves would negate the concern and lighten the wallet !

The main problem would be a lack of support from the surrounding structure.
 
You could have the engine girdle to help stabilizing the block, if you don't have the sleeves. I don't think the 1UZ really needs the sleeve unless you'll go crazy with the hp. Usually the Honda guys go with the sleeves because their blocks are "floating" cylinders.
 
Yes I'm going crazy.. Its NOT a daily driver...
1/4 mile at a time.. Seems sleeves used are generic...
