I have a remote start alarm system I want to put in my sc4 but I know its an electrical nightmare and I just wanted to see if anyone has attempted installing one themselves. Also if it is worthwhile to keep the factory alarm when adding an aftermarket one. Any advice?

Let me know if anyone replies texasc cuz I'd like to know.

You could get a "cheesy" alarm that might be an easy install through crutchfield.

I would just disable the factory, but not remove. As far as installing the remote start...

Do you have a service manual?
Have you ever installed a car stereo without a premade harness...ie needed to cut wires?

If so then I can point you in the right directions. Its a really easy install after you figure it out.

I will be doing this shortly, again.. and will take pics and a write up. But not for another month or two, this coupe needs the gauges and needles lighting fixed.
