Hey guys,
How would I go about adapting a C4 convertor the 1uz? I was thinking about getting a custom made flex plate(I like that idea better) or maybe modifying the extisting one?
Thanks in advance
Jeremy

Jeremy,

I think "The Flea" is running a C4 in his old school Corolla.

Check his thread on his car.

Thanks TOBES, just gotta work out how to use a C4 convertor on the 1uz, I think I might get a machning shop to make a new flex plate to match up to the convertor and weld on the 1uz ring gear.

1UZ-HZ,
If you can, keep the flexplate since it's already done for you. Most converter shops can relocate the Ford converter legs to fit the Lexus flexplate. You might have to get a lexus converter to make sure the leg height is right. The button on the crank side of the turbine housing would have to be cut down to fit the Lexus crank. This button fits in the crank hub (on many cars) and centers the converter on the crank. If it's too small you might have to have a bushing made to fit in the hub to accept the converter button.
I haven't gotten to this point yet, so I'm really speculating at this point.

Thanks man, I'm not to that point yet either, just wanna know what to do when I get there. Thanks for your help
