717,000km '98 LS400 VVTi

Here's a '98 LS400 VVTi for sale on ebay Australia with 717,000km on the clock. I messaged him and he says the motor is original and he put a low km transmission in at 600,000km.
My '98 LS400 has 225,000km and runs like new. I'm glad Ive seen this guys car because it tells me that the variable valve timing mechanism is good for the life of the engine which may even be good for 1,000,000km.

So yeah, 717,000km and still on the original motor...
Maybe it's the highest mileage motor in a '98 LS400 in the world ?

My engine in my truck did 120,000miles then went bang. If you near 100,000 miles with a 2.5 in my truck it's just a ticking time bomb. This, and this thread, is why I am putting a 1Uz in it's place!

Just a 2.5TD. They're kinda known for it. I got wind of the 1UZ being genuinely viable and I went after like a Bull! Just a matter of time now....
