5 speed 4wd?

Hi all,
my project is currently mocked up with a non vvti motor connected to a kzj78 landcruiser transfer box (i think) to get 4wd,
i now think i want to change to using a vvti motor for various reasons but just found a potential problem...the gearbox is the 5 speed so is there an easy way to get the 4wd? if the transferbox won't fit on the 5spd, is it possible to run the older 4spd behind the vvti or will the ecu go crazy?
failing that, can i run engine with std ecu, and a standalone ecu for the 4spd gearbox? compushift or one of those setups?

If anyone can help ASAP i would be very grateful, as the complete car i'm interested in ends on ebay reasonably shortly!

Look at the Suprastick for an auto box controller however as with most gearbox ecus for aisin boxes it will only control a 4 speed.

The vvti is fine without the gearbox connected.

We have done a 70 series cruiser prado transfer onto a A650 5 speed. They can be made to fit up fine and work really well. Cheers
