3uz low idle in gear

Good day, first time posting here, a bit of background

I have a jeep wrangler with a 3uz for the last 5 years, swop was done professionally and has been going well.
The issue comes in it was originally installed with a electric power steering pump, it struggled to turn the bigger tires so about a month ago we installed the jeeps mechanical pump, i had my first drive today and its working well.

The problem is when slowing down the lexus idle speed drops to around 500revs, then the pump loses presure and i have to give throttle again to have power steering.

Is there any way to raise idle speed ingear/overall?

From factory 1UZs have a switching valve on the power steering line so that when the hydraulic pressure goes up, it creates an air leak past the throttle and idles up then engine. Common toyota thing. Fit the valve, along with the hoses (goes into the front of the manifold from memory) and your problem is solved.

this device may help, it activates various modes that were available from factory (including idle up) but are no longer available in your not so professional swap
