Here's one from my "inquisitive child" mind.
My mom and my uncle both own Land Cruisers, 98 and 00 respectively. Their engines are much more nimble on the tachometer than my 98 1UZ. In neutral, the 2UZ jumps to 3000rpm almost twice as quick as my 1UZ.
Obviously there's no performance impact that I'm concerned with, but I'm interested in the science behind engine characteristics such as this. Is it the VVTi that slows mine down?
