New member here, and I have a dent in the right front of my lower oil pan. This was the result of jack slippage from the cross member to the lower oil sump. This dent is approximately 6 - 10mm deep and 32mm in diameter.
There is no leakage or tears in the metal, but I need to know if the pan needs to be removed and repaired. The pan flange bolts are quite close to the cross member, and it seems as if the engine might need to be lifted for removal.
I have searched, but can not find any photos of this engine with the lower oil sump removed. If there is no danger in leaving it this way, then great, but if it needs to be removed and repaired, then I will do so.
Thanks ahead for any input!
