2000 Ls400 fan/cooling mods

I recently bought a 2000 LS400 and is having some overheating issues when I'm at idle with the AC on. I've been told by other owners that the fan clutch may have went out.so I was wondering would replacing the fan clutch or maybe modifying the vehicle with a different fan making it electric would be better

Warm the engine up .

Hold the fan and have someone start the engine and let it idle, then let go of the fan is should start to rotate at a reasonable speed. If it doesn't just unbolt the whole assembly from the idler pulley and replace with another.
