1uzfe vs. 1/3uzfe VVTi

I've done alot of searching but some of the articles and threads are vague(doesn't specify if the 1UZFE is the pre-98 or post-98/VVTi).

Main thing I would like to know is, how similar are the post-98 1UZFE VVTi and 3UZFE engines? Mainly main bolt size/stud; is the VVTi version of the 1UZ same lengths as the 3UZFE; or the same as the pre-98 1UZ that uses the different sizes? Pre-98 1UZ crankshaft the same as post-98? Which has the best oiling?

Isnt that list just compatibility? Or is it a comparison of what parts are the same?
