1uz upgrades for my swaps

I have a first gen 1uz in my 84 celica. It's a beast so I'm going to be 1uz swapping my 78 Mitsubishi/dodge colt/lancer.

I've been cruising forums and it seems a lot of the websites people posted are no longer around.

Im looking at doing a rebuild for performance. I was thinking 11.5:1 comp pistons, ported heads with over sized valves, the high lift cams from kenford? Kelford? In NZ, and some obx ITBs.

My goal is 400-450hp.
Do yall think those mods would get me there? I've heard porting does quite a bit.

Cams, headwork and a bump in compression would only get you to around 300rwhp.
If you are after 400-450, turbo or supercharger is the way to go.

For the cost of pistons, porting, valves kelford cams and a good ITB set, you're nearly there with forced induction always.
You'd need an aftermarket ECU either way.
