1uz swap into sc400

So I am going to be getting a sc400 which has a blown engine. I plan on swapping out the engine and saw many different cars support the engine and there are several revisions of the engine itself. The car is a 1996 sc400, I was wondering if I could swap in a 97+ 1uz with vvti and work with the stock harness. Does anybody know if this will work? I plan on keeping the stock auto tranny until I build up enough money to do a manual swap.

I have a early non vvti Soarer which I have a later VVti 1uz engine and trans to slip into it. I know I can do it but not sure on your skills sorry.
