Hi Guys
We've been upgrading Landrovers to Toyota motors for a few years now. At fisrt we used only 3S-FE's from the Camry, running through the original Rover gearbox, and using either the Rover management or aftermarket stuff.
Lately, we've had many requests for V8's, and we did two with 1UZ's using aftermarket fuel injection, but in order to skip tuning problems and to cut the cost a little, we have now bought a motor with the original Toyota ecu and wiring harness. The importers have a guy wiring the ecu's up so we would only have to connect a few wires to the chassis, but the guy's been missing for two weeks, all the other "experts" charge so much to do the wiring that I could rather buy an aftermarket system, and the customer wants his car by Friday.
Is it really as simple as just extending the wires, fitting a few fuses and connecting something like 5 wires to the existing chassis wiring? Does anyone have a wiring diagram handy?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Phil
