1UZ-FE into 240z

was wondering if anyone had any information about this conversion.

also if anyone had the measurements of the engine bay of a 240z so i could see how easy the 1uz will fit in.

is it the same size bay as a 260z?

if so would be great as the 240z are lighter.

any help or suggestions would be great.

If you are going to do this conversion, as I am planning to do into a 260z and as 400zed has already done, I suggest that you also go to hybridz.org . IMO this site is definately the best forum 1UZFE site on the net, and hybridz is easily the best z conversion site around. If you havent already been there, there are a tonne of people on there (thousands) putting v8s and other engines in Z's so there is a large information base you can put questions to (although do a search first otherwise they get snappy). Although there are only a handful of members that know anything about the 1UZFE there, its a really good place to go about everything else other than the UZ related questions

About the engine bay question, as far as I know, the engine bay of the 240Z is exactly or nearly exactly the same size as the 260Z engine bay as they both use the s30 body. And you're right with the weight, the 2 seater is definately the go if you dont plan to ferry people around.
