I know the code 47 is sub throttle which is deleted for the install into my hilux.

And that the fix should be to jump the throttle Vc to the sub throttle VTA

but my ecu doesn't match the wiring diags I have found and I don't know what vehicle the engine/trans/ecu is from.

everything is running fine but the flashing light is really pissing me off.

Is it possible to identify the ecu from its' serial# so I can find the correct wiring/pins to stop the error code?

why hook up a check light
just cut the wire and put a switch on it
or take it to a pro to fix yr problem

a) you said code 47 is a enigne or trc code

b) if yr overdrive light flashes is means its an auto trans fault
c) so maybe go over yr wiring or sensors
d) so u said u bypassed the trc tps
e) maybe u did it worng
f) vta is throttle 1
g) vta1 is the sub throttle
h) vc is 5 v output to both throttles
i) vta is tps signal on main tps
j) vta1 is signal on tps on sub throttle
k )so u might have wired it wrong

hey just saw yr pic on the toymobs site

its yr every day ls400 or celsior ecu

info on them all over the net
especially on this site

ive done 30 ls400s and my diags work every single time

main prob people get is code 56 only on some ecus

code 47 flashes on the O/D light (all the errors show here)
It's the only error I have left now
the only info I have indicated
pin C 11, Vc, blu-red
pin C 15, Vta2, yel-bla
My pin C 11 is blu-red
My pin C 15 is yel-blu

but there seems to be a lot of variation between ecu's/vehicles and I have no idea on the id of the ecu

I'll have another look tomorrow

there are alot fo variations on ecu i have 8 different diagrams
but the celsior and ls400 ecu like yrs there is only one

I've just finished checking the sub tps wiring and the ecu plug - they do match

pin C 11 blu-red VC
pin C 15 yel-blu VTA2

So is it true that jumping these two pins should clear the code 47? Or is there another fix for when the sub tps is deleted?
Edit: On mine, the 22 pin plug is labeled C

not sure
ive never had code 47 before only code 56
i never see the reason the pull the the trc stuff off
the trc tps work opposite to normal tps
so i guess running 5v from vc to vta2 should solve yr problem

yes u goto love toymods
i used to help on their but idiots think they are gods gift and banned me

so anyone who mentions toymods to me on phone or email gets a tst
toymods services tax
hehehehehheehehehehe

reset ecu
pluged in the sub tps
drive, all clear
stop
start, drive
now getting code 42 (VSS)
code 47 gone

reset ecu
removed sub tps
drive, all clear
stop
start, drive
code 42 (VSS)
code 47 still gone

have not had code 42 before today

1 step forward, 1 step back. or maybe 1 step sideways?

heheh
its all in the fun of diagnosing
42 is speed sensor

this is y i say put a fking switch on the check engine light
only turn it on when u want to check codes

do u know how much it bloody costs to wire up a conversion properly so every bloody thing works

fking heaps

thats y i tell cusotmers u dont need this u dont need that
getting every signal to the ecu if yr car is old and originally carby is a long painful job

now most young guys and forum jukies wont spend the money to do it right

anyway i guess yr learning that the hard way
getting everything right is not straight forward

Everything would be straight forward if I had access to the correct wiring diags for the original donor car.

wtf signal is the ecu expecting to see from the speedo? I have VDO speedo running off the speed sensor on gearbox.

well ive used the diags on this site many times
and they work
its not the diags
its the understanding and learning of how everything works that no one wants to do
they want everything given to them on a plate

if u tell me how many pulses yr sensor on the gbox is ill tell u if it will work

otherwise u need a signal divider or a different speedo sensor
which is not easy on a one piece sensor

Coz I'm a perfectionist, it irritates me that it's coding even though I cannot detect any effect on engine/driving/shifting. It will go on the back burner for now.
Ecu wiring will be changed later in the year with gas install so I'll have to resist the temptation fiddle with it until then.

I'll only investigate further if I get free time & I get bored or if something changes in how it's running.

wel her eis how it works

ecu has 2 speed signals

nissan ecus will still change gears even if u loose speed signal

toyotas need atleast one speed signal

the other is a back up incase one fails

my crown 1uz has 2 signal modifier boxes for both speed signals
as they both go thru other secitons of car then get modified then goto ecu

every other 1uz has main speed signal going direct to ecu
but the backup speed signal goes thru speedo then gets modified

so as long as u have one it will be fine

just brings up a code

like i said not many will pay 500 bucks just to get most the **** working

but i tel them that if one speed sensor fails then u will have no automatic gears just manually shifting

but out of 50 auto 1uzs none have failed

Taken 5yrs to get this far (full vehicle rebuilt not just engine), it *will* be perfect eventually.
:)

cool
my hilux was done in 2 weeks
im just voer it these days
ill flog it off as it is or spend afew grand cleaning it back up
and sell it for more to someone how likes mini trucks

only thing ill never do is air bags
never liked them
especially the ones for have wanky air bags then run std 22r
makes them a very tough streeter hehehehheehheheehhe
