I know it has been discussed ad nauseum that the non vvti 1uz heads can be used on non vvti 2uz block with custom pistons or by shaving part of the oem pistons due to the head combustion chamber being different and the negative piston deck clearance. Does the vvti-1uzfe also have negative piston deck clearance? In other words, since 1uz vvti heads are similar to 2uz heads, can we use 1uz vvti heads on a 2uz vvti block without shaving pistons? Also, for those of you have done the vvti 1uz/2uz hybrid, what kind of power are we looking out? I know Lextreme got about 300hp 345Tq on his non vvti hybrid, so I am curious the power difference and if this would be worth it on a later gen like a gs400...
