1JZGTE, 2JZGTE, dimensions, weight???

I am trying to talk my self into swaping a 1UZ in my S13 insted of a 1JZ by finding out how much the 1J weighs and how much longer it is. Does anyone know the dimentions and total weight of just the 1JZ and or 2JZ engine?

Heavier than a 1UZ, longer than a 1UZ (by about 2-3"), about the same height, and a bit thinner.

Are you referring to the 1 or 2J?

Now, I know the 1J will be thinner, will that aid in handling? I need the best-balanced setup for my 240 so the car doesn’t loose traction at 140+ and what not. Power is great but you need to get it to the ground. As it is with my SOHC pos engine that’s in it now, sometimes with a tiny bit of water, traction is an issue and the car just sits

That mainly referred to the 1JZ.
The 2JZ is a tad higher, a tad heavier, and probably a tad wider (bigger turbo's, bigger intake manifold). Same length.

If you have traction issues, you need wider/stickier tyres.

I have no traction issues with my car, unless I dump the clutch in first.
This is with 205 tyres and under 3000lbs.
