1j or 2j into toyota surf

hey all i have a ln130 1996 surf (imported to australia). i am looking at putting a 1j or 2j turbo and try and retain the automatic. i am looking at getting a half cut to do the conversion can anyone advise me on which model will be best for this conversion. it currently has a a343f transmission which uses a computer, is there a easy way to make this work? or dose the soarer/chasser/aristo transmission do away with this.
