flat plane crank

I see this has come up in another thread in the past and @cribbj @Arnout had talked seriously about this. Does anyone have any strong leads. Was this ever made? Then there's the issue of cams. PS. Since cranks are interchangeable, I guess it'd work for 2UZ and 3UZ as well.

what does it take for these motors to spin at 8 to 9 thousand rpms and still be reliable? i am guessing valve springs for sure maybe cams and rods of course but what else would you need?

Are all UZ cranks interchangable among the blocks? I have a 3UZ with a spun bearing and the 3UZ crank is difficult to find. Can I use a 1UZ crank? They do have a different part number. Can I also put a 2UZ crank in and have the pistons adjusted a little? It's only 1.5mm stroke but if I am...
