    ECU pinout question

If you follow the link in my post above you will see the pinouts for the 40 pin plug. I had the benefit of having a half cut and using some of the wiring and relays and fuses from it which you will have to set up yourself if you do not have such. There are a couple of extra wires to the cat temp...

    Bending Exhaust Pipes with sand

I used to work next door to a guy in Melbourne who used to custom make extractors for race cars back in the 70s. He used sand to bend them and before he started bending he welded the pipes to the flange which was later attached to the motor. He was pretty good too.

    V8 Hi-Lux

something wrong with my uploads so I added links. There is a small hole near the end of the shaft , beneath the rotor, which appeared to be an oil supply for the bearing in the original extension housing so I left it so it could hopefully direct oil to the bearing in the adapter.

    V8 Hi-Lux

Picture of connector and rotor on shaft. I assembled the rotor onto the shaft with Loctite in an effort to ensure it is fixed to shaft http://home.iprimus.com.au/montyl/assembled.jpg

    V8 Hi-Lux

The adapter has to be modified to accept the A341E speed sensor. I drilled the hole for it out to 19/32inch and tapped a 6MM hole at 20MM centers for the hold down screw. It will need a 3MM spacer under the sensor to maintain clearance to the rotor. http://home.iprimus.com.au/montyl/drilling...

    V8 Hi-Lux

The output shaft from the transmission has to be cut to length. I cut it back to 77MM from the rear of the case where it attaches to the adapter http://home.iprimus.com.au/montyl/shaft cut to length.jpg

    V8 Hi-Lux

The four pronged rotor has to be reduced in length and attached to the shaft. I cut it at the end of the worm gear and drilled and tapped 4 6MM holes for grub screws http://home.iprimus.com.au/montyl/rotor sized.jpg

    V8 Hi-Lux

I got around to fitting my surf transfer case to my A341E transmission. I started by making a drill/tapping jig to drill and tap the hole into the case. A piece of square bar with 3 holes in it. The end holes are 220MM centres 10mm diameter to fit the screws. The hole in the centre is drilled...

Help needed finding tach signal on 1UZ

Should not be too hard. It is the wire that goes to "IG-" in the check connector.
