    It could be an earhing issue , have you bonded the motor to the frame. Also I think there is a sensor circuit earth that has to be seperatly connected to an earth on the the main loom. There are lots of guys on here with alot of knowledge so hopefully they can help . I had a few codes on mine...

    Wiring auto trans with stock ecu

    are you using an auto that came with the motor , or one already in your car . your loom should have the plugs on it to plug into the 1UZ auto .But if youve got a different box you will need to identify the wiring from that to match up with the wiring from your ecu.

    Are the other auto wires connected , for example temp sensors , you may need to check all wires from the ECU are connected to the auto where needed

    LS400 wiring head ache.

    The 28 pin plug is very important , if you look at the pic of what each wire does , such as constant 12 volts etc . If you have the plug you need to id the important wires to get the ECU to work. If you have no plug you can make female pinned tails to plug into the ECU .

    Is your ute auto, because the Isuzi did use the Aisin gearbox for awhile so it maybe quite an easy job to convert to the 1UZ

    Here's the part numbers etc for the flex plate to torque convertor bolts , 9mm x 1.25 thread hens tenth in NZ ..........$5 each to . They sell them as 5 gold ones ( not real gold !) and a black purely for identifying bolting up so you don't over tighten I'm thinking

    Just to add mate your engine will bring some dollars as did my diesel . The Lexus motors are usually low ks and are well priced , here in nz they come with the ECU , and the auto so are good value for money

    There's heaps to read . But it's worth the time to research and work things out. If anyone asks why are you doing it , just say the 1UZ was voted in top ten engines in the world so why wouldn't you jump at the chance to do it

    Looking at the engine bay the v6 takes up a bit of room. I'll get my pic up tomorrow my project I'd outside until I get it running then I can take over the garage. Bloody safety car is out .!

    Today I just fitted my two batteries , the rear one I had to raise about 45mm to clear the lexus loom that i had already run , so probably should have planned that a bit better . Also my front battery just fit! I'll get a pic up soon so you can see how tight things are. I have heard the late...

    Pajero stuff is hard to find , but if you are running a six you may need to get it adapted to run off the v8 . The Lexus "pretends " the motor is a four so a four cylinder tachometer will work ( my deisel should work)...

    You can get any of the sump configurations when you buy your motor and then get the right sump to suit Castlemaine rod shop do a good sump that looks like it it would work the best as it misses the diff completely. I'm using the Lexus ECU for the motor . And hope to control the Pajero auto...
