    1UZ VVTi or 3UZ into a '94 Supra

Which transmission are you mating up to? Guess it doesn't really matter as you'll be reusing it for whichever VVTi block you use. Re: the DBW throttle, Gloverman is very familiar with getting that to work with his Link ECU's, so perhaps he can share some of his experience.

    1uz VVti wiring

Say it ain't so Kelvin! I gotta admit the LS motors are compact, put out a lotta power and there's tons of support for them, but I still wouldn't have one. It's missing 3 cams :)

Supercharger bracket and idler still available?

Great, glad you found him. Hope it works out for you!

Supercharger bracket and idler still available?

There are a few members here who are or were running it for years. I don't remember who they were, or if they're still active. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Supercharger bracket and idler still available?

That was probably the "Fish" bracket, which the site's original owner came up with. That owner sold the website awhile back and currently no parts are being offered here. I believe there is/was a guy in the UK who was doing a lot of development work with the UZ's and had Fish brackets &...

1uz block with 2uz top end and ecu?

I have a vague recollection of someone here experimenting with 2UZ heads on a 1UZ block. Maybe JustenGT8 fooled with this and made it work, along with VVTi heads on a normal block (which didn't work). Try a search using "2UZ heads on 1UZ block" or some such.....

    Catastrophic Failure, 2uzfe. Rebuild questions

Kelvin (Gloverman) is an ace with these engines and the Link ECU and can probably get you a great tune without ever seeing the engine. The most important decision with picking an ECU is not the ECU itself, but picking the right tuner for it. So I wouldn't spend that much time poring over ECU...

Kelford are a great vendor for the UZ engines.

    Lextreme 2.0

Justin, that would be a huge benefit to this place if you could resync some of the older DIY threads with their pics! And we owe you a welcome to Lextreme as well! Is "mybrainisimmense" still around?

    Lextreme 2.0

Justin, were you a "Lextremer" prior to purchasing the site, or is your interest in it mainly commercial? The original Lextreme site that was on vBulletin had had a number of crashes and a lot of the photos/videos from the very early days became detached/divorced from their posts. Did you...

    Buy that man a beer

Yea, sorry if I came off as cynical. I'd had a few glasses of red last night. It was intended to be a show of support for Kelvin as he's always been super helpful here. Not that Sideshow wasn't in the earlier days but as Rod said, he hasn't checked in for a long time, while Kelvin has been here...

    Buy that man a beer

Great idea, but how do we know the proceeds and beer will go to Gloverman? (Sideshow has been MIA for a few years)

    1UZ Throttle body on 3UZ

Jamie, I think Gloverman was pretty clear that he doesn't do this type of conversion, and I doubt that anyone else on this forum has either, so I think you're on your own if you want to go this way.

    1UR-FSE - alternative injectors

Wish I/we could give you some guidance, but again, we're mainly a 1UZ & 2UZ forum, and shoot, we struggle with getting good info on well known, conventional style injectors made by Denso. Maybe one of the pro's like Gloverman has had some experience with the UR motors and can comment, but...

    1UR-FSE - alternative injectors

We have a lot of expertise here for the older 1UZ models, but not the newer 1UR's. That's probably why your thread didn't get much traction. 1. Normally the different colors indicate different flow capacities, or different nozzle configurations, etc. 2. Yes 3. Yes, but within reason - OEM ECU's...

Stronger / bigger head and main studs than ARP

Hey Speeedy, it's great to see you here again, and that's good news about your 1UZ monster Supra! I think you may have the honor of having the highest HP, street driven 1UZ. I'll bet it's a LOT of fun. I've had problems with the heads lifting on my 1UZ's and others have too, so perhaps you've...

    Catastrophic Failure, 2uzfe. Rebuild questions

Sorry to read of your issues; the rods are the weak link with the UZ motors. I don't have much advice for you, other than it may be cheaper/easier to grab another junkyard pull than to rebuild the existing motor. These engines are really expensive to hotrod. Also noticed we share the same...

    Parts

Carlos, Lextreme sold this website several years back, and I don't think he's still actively involved with 1UZ hotrodding.

    Parts 3uz H Rods & parts needed.

Performance parts are hard to find for these engines, and sometimes you have to use parts intended for a different application, and modify them to suit. ARP head studs and conrods are good examples. IIRC the rods that Lextreme used to sell were some flavor of Chevy rods that he had machined to...
