    John, Just block them. When the heater valve is shut there is no flow. Make sure you do not get an air lock, bleed from the line to heater. We have permanent bleeds from the back of the heads and have still had air lock on the dyno.

    Advancing Timing without aftermarket ECU

    Remove the trigger plate from the crank and move the keyway however much you want to advance the spark. Trouble is it will change timing at all rpm and loads, even idle. Leave it stock, you will not gain with more advance. 29 deg is adequate even on 12.5 to 1 comp and 98 octane.

    Std pistons 4 pistons are marked L, 4 pistons R. The offset is towards the thrust side. After market pistons can be either offset or equal.

    The cable is not a kickdown, it modulates transmission oil pressure. There is a kickdown switch that goes to the ecu.
