How do you denote the early and late 1uz?

Hello everyone.

Just so I don’t confuse anyone when posting about the different 1uz engines, how do you differentiate pre-97 and post-98 1uz engines? Is one just a 1uz and the other a 1UZ? Or 1uz (or UZ) and 1uz-fe? Or something else?

They are all 1UZ-FE

Pre-1995 is early
1995 and onwards is late
1997 added VVTi cylinder heads

Upper/lower case doesn't matter - everyone here knows what you're talking about.
But, all Toyota engine codes are uppercase
