A customer is saying they're getting a CEL because "the resistor won't work for this style EGR system. The way I understand it is that the older systems were operated off of vacuum, not electronically."
I have the same question. Trying to delete the EGR on a first-gen LS400 and am confused because there's no temp sensor since the valve is vacuum-controlled. If I delete the EGR won't it trigger a code 71? There is a gas temperature sensor in the housing that detects exhaust gas heat. No heat, no egr function = code 71.
1992 Lexus SC400 Did the egr delete and now I have no throttle respone, I have lost power, when the car starts it idles fine but when I press on the gas there is no power. any ideas thank you in advance
I know that, I was just wondering g if you have heard of this before . The car idles fine but when I push the gas it will kit rev up and has no power when driving .
