UPDATE: A limited supply of the original best-selling Lextreme 1UZFE EGR Delete Kit remains. If you own a 1UZ from 1990-1997, you really need to get this kit! Email me at [email protected] for help with ordering or questions. This will probably be the last kits I have made.

All other parts are SOLD OUT and won't return, including the LS400 and SC400 turbo kit, rebuild kits, supercharger and performace torque converter. We're not an auto parts supplier and I can't respond to inquries for random Lexus and Toyota auto parts.

Eaton MP112 vs M90 Supercharger

There is a movement now that 1UZFE is moving toward the root style supercharger.  Why? of course this supercharger boosts lower end torque and its great for street applications.

Currently, there is a 1UZFE manifold being made by Jordys to be fitting with any root style supercharger. (Update July, 2020: Jordy’s supercharger manifold is no longer available)

Here are some pictures of the manifold:

From what Jordys stated, this manifold will work on most of the root style superchargers like the M90 or larger.  M90 is widely found in Ford Thunderbird and other GM cars.  They are cheaply found on auction sites.  The above picture is a M90 root supercharger.

However, the 1UZFE crank pulley is only 5.5″ and most 1UZFE root style supercharger runs it belt over the radiator hose.  Therefore, the smallest supercharger pulley will be limited by the radiator hose.  According to many supercharger companies, 2.50″ pulley would be the smallest otherwise, belt contact would be a problem.

Smaller pulleys would have slippage problems with high RPM.  My recommendation would be running a larger supercharger like the MP112.  Here are some information about the 4th Generation Magnuson MP90.

Magnuson 4th Generation MP90:

The Magnuson/Eaton Model MP90, 4th Generation is a “State of the Art” supercharger, engineered for 3.0 to 5.7 litre passenger cars and light truck engines. It was designed as a compact, flexible supercharger for increased power with original equipment quietness and reliability without adversely affecting fuel economy.

The M90 has proven itself in a  number of original equipment and aftermarket applications on a variety of engine sizes. This latest version has taken this versatility to the next level with “S Port” technology and a built in bypass for unparalleled performance.

  • Most installations see a realistic 40% plus increase in power output.
  • Eaton Superchargers will work effectively in any orientation (Flat, upside down, on edge).
  • Different length drives are available, giving the custom installer flexibility in the placement of the supercharger.
  • The bypass actuator can be located in any of 12 possible locations.

4th Generation MP112:

The Magnuson/Eaton Model MP112, 4th Generation is a “State of the Art” supercharger, engineered for 4.6 to 6.0 litre passenger cars and light truck engines. It was designed as a compact, flexible supercharger for increased power with original equipment quietness and reliability without adversely affecting fuel economy. The M112 has proven itself in a  number of original equipment and aftermarket applications on a variety of engine sizes.

Those 4th generation Magnuson  superchargers are expensive.  The MP90 is around $ 2,897.00 AU and MP112 is about 2,950.00 AU. There are two types were used by the Ford vehicles, the 2003 Mustang Cobra and the Ford Lighting along with Supercharged Jags.  I am sure there are other cars equipped with these superchargers, but those just jumped into my mind.

2003 Mustang Cobra MP112 Supercharger:

1999 and Up Ford SVT Lightning M112 Supercharger:

The Ford SVT Lightning supercharger has top inlet air and 2003 Mustang SVT Cobra has side (left) inlet air.  For our application, the side inlet air would work better due to hood clearance.  Used low mileage M112 or MP112 runs about 500-600 hundred dollars USD.  The 2003 Cobra stock supercharger would work the best and this will be a high demand supercharger especially for the 1UZFE owners.

Some might argue why not use M90 instead of the larger supercharger.  There is nothing wrong using the M90.  However, if you ever decided to run more boost like greater than 8 or 9 psi, then the M90 is limited to that amount of boost.

Secondly, if you ever decided to lower the compression ratio to run more boost, then the MP112 would be the choice of supercharger for the 1UZFE.  MP112 will allow room for improvement in the future.

  1. Will an M90 or M112 work with a 2000 GS400 (original engine and ECM) without adding secondary fuel management? All pics look like the 91-97 1UZ.
I have a GS400 that I am in love with but need a little bit more to play with and don’t want to dump the platform unless it is as extended as reasonable.
